It’s been 52 years since my old band The Move broke up following our 10th hit, California Man, in 1972 - and after all those years a book has finally been written about The Move .
It’s been worth the wait though as a really brilliant music author, Jim McCarthy, was chosen to do the job .
Not only is Jim a great writer - he’s also a huge fan of the band - particularly the original five piece lineup.
I have helped Jim over the past 12 months with my reminiscences, but he’s also managed to track down so many people who were involved with The Move between 1966 and 1972.
There’s a lovely foreword from my old friend Paul Weller too.
I can thoroughly recommend “Flowers In The Rain - The Untold Story Of The Move “ by Jim McCarthy.
Do treat yourself to a copy and it would make a great Christmas present too!
